The DRY Quarantini and a Virtual Happy Hour

Thanks to everyone who joined us for our first virtual happy hour on our Instagram last Friday! We’re looking forward to hosting more of these with some of our friends. At an appropriate distance of course.

We had requests coming in all week for our own mocktail version of a Quarantini and far be it from us to ignore that request!

As we said during the happy hour… please, please, please don’t mix Emergen-C with anything other than what they recommend.

Now that we have that disclaimer out of the way… we wanted to give you a few recipes that you could use to make any hour a happy hour and with things you probably already have in your kitchen.

The Coffee Pot Is Calling
Sometimes it’s the simple things in life that make us happy. The gurgle of the coffee pot turning on in the morning, the scent of the fresh coffee lightly drifting to your room to wake you up gently. Then there’s the times that gorgeous pot of coffee doesn’t get finished because there are zoom calls, kids needing something or you simply forget. Don’t let that coffee go to waste! Use it for a quick afternoon treat and a much needed pause in the middle of the day.

DRY Vanilla Coffee Fiz
Use a dab of coffee to wet the rim of a glass then dip on the sugar, coco powder, cinnamon mixture. Pour the coffee and coco bitters in the glass and top with the DRY Vanilla Botanical Bubbly. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!

Dreaming of Springtime
Normally spring sees us running outside to see the sun. Walking in parks, meeting up with friends, and working in the garden, it’s how we blow away the dust and frost of a long winter. This spring however we’re staying inside and gazing at the sun through the window. We’re hosting FaceTime dates with our friends. We’re longing for our normal spring while binge watching Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu.

If you’re a fan of any of the great British miniseries and enjoy a spot of tea, this is a great high tea alternative for you!

DRY Lavender Black Tea Highball
Place a few ice cubes in a highball glass, pour in the tea and top with the DRY Lavender Botanical bubbly, garnish with a lemon wheel. Add a squeeze of lemon or orange if you like a little tartness.

Pull On Your PJs (Day or Night) and Grab A Glass
Let’s be honest… the last few weeks have been hard, and the weeks to come will more than likely be equally as hard. But that’s all the more reason to have fun however we can, and to do our best to keep all of your spirits up as well. While we are practicing responsible social distancing, we’ve been looking for ways to continue to connect with our friends and family and we think we may have another great suggestion.

Pair your DRY Quarantini with a Netflix Party! Goggle Chrome offers an extension called, you guessed it, Netflix Party! Watch movies and shows and chat together in real time! You know you want to want to watch Love is Blind and talk about it with your friends. We certainly do!

The DRY Quarantini
Mix together white sugar with the zest of one lime and one lemon. Run a lime wedge around the rim of your glass and then dip in the sugar mixture. add the lime juice and honey to the glass and gently mix and then top with the Ginger DRY Botanical Bubbly.

Are you hosting your own virtual happy hour with your friends? We’d love to see it! Tag us on Instagram @drysoda and use the hashtag #DRYBotanicalBubbly.
