Festive Zero-Proof Cocktails for NYE and DRY January

Need a few last-minute mocktail ideas to ring in 2021? We have four new, festive recipes to get you to midnight and through DRY January.

We don't know about you but we are ready to ring in a new year and kick off DRY January. 2020 was an adventure, to say the least! The holidays flew by and tonight, even if you are staying in and saying goodbye to 2020, we have a few last-minute NYE mocktails inspired by you!

Last week we asked you to submit your favorite holiday cookie recipes to inspire a round of zero-proof cocktails to get us through New Years' and DRY January. We loved the interesting and unique mix of flavors we received. So we have two new recipes inspired by the overwhelming favorites. The sugar cookie, with and without sprinkles, and the Coconut Macaroon. We also included two more for those that like something a little fruitier to sip.

This new mocktail is a tropical vacation in a glass, and who couldn't use a vacation right about now. The shooting star pairs perfectly with high heels or slippers alike and is sure to help you ring in the new year with a smile.

Shooting Star
Fresh starfruit

1 oz fresh orange juice

.5 oz fresh lime juice

.5 oz Lyre’s Aperitif Rosso

4 oz DRY Blood Orange Botanical Bubbly

In a blender combine fresh star fruit, orange juice, and lime juice. Blend until smooth. In a cocktail shaker add ice and strain the blended mixture into the shaker. Use a spoon to mix the liquid in the strainer to get the liquid to pass. Add DRY Blood Orange Botanical Bubbly to the shaker and stir. Do not shake. Strain the mixture into a coupe and gently pour in the Lyre’s Aperitif Rosso. Garnish with a slice of star fruit.

Inspired by one of the overwhelming holiday cookie favorites, the coconut macaroon, the Pineapple Coconut Freeze combines the creamy chocolaty goodness of the classic recipe with a fun twist.

Pineapple Coconut Freeze
2 oz. Pineapple Coconut Juice

.5 oz. Lyres Orange Sec

.5 oz lime juice

DRY Vanilla Botanical Bubbly

Shredded Coconut

Melted white chocolate

Ice

Gently melt white chocolate chips in a bowl. Once you reach a smooth consistency, dip the rim of a coupe into the chocolate and then directly into shredded coconut. Let the glass sit in the coconut until the chocolate has solidified.

In a blender combine pineapple coconut juice, Lyre’s Orange Sec, lime juice, and ice. Blend until smooth and slushy.

Turn over the coupe and gently tap so excess coconut falls off. Gently pout the blended mixture into the glass and top with DRY Vanilla Botanical Bubbly.

Who doesn't love a sprinkle?! That's like saying you hate confetti. If the last year has taught us anything, it's that a little confetti can lift the spirits. Ok, maybe it just taught us that... but give it a go! The Confetti Cannon is inspired by the second overwhelming holiday cookie favorite, the sugar cookie. Several recipes we received called for a little citrus zest and sprinkles. So here it is in beverage form!

Melted white chocolate

Sprinkles

.5 oz fresh lemon juice

In a cocktail shaker add ice, orange and lemon juice, and Orgeat syrup. Shake until combine and cold. Strain into the prepared coupe. Top with DRY Vanilla Botanical Bubbly.
